Our founder, Mr. Hritik Oswal, started Unboxkar in 2020 with the aim of providing quality products at an adorable price.
Hritik was into his family business in offline retail and wholesale hair accessories, trying to capture the markets in Pune, but was not sure if he wanted to do the traditional business.
He was curious about tech and the opportunity it brings. He knew that to scale faster, he needed to get tech into the business, so he decided to start a D2C brand that deals in hair accessories, as there were no such brands or products who were selling at affordable prices.
So the actual brainstorming was started in February 2020 and was about to launch in mid-March, but where did we know? We were about to encounter the pandemic. During the lockdown, he learned all the skills required to setup an online business. As soon as everything was opening, he geared up and was preparing for the launch of the website. And then the date was fixed.

with a seed capital of Rs 10,000.
